About this event
This is the meeting of our Healthwatch Wandsworth Committee in public. This will be a meeting to go through a number of agenda items relating to the Healthwatch Committee’s role in governance of Healthwatch Wandsworth. This is not an event to discuss health and social care topics with the community (we hold other events to do this).
About the Healthwatch Wandsworth Committee
The Committee’s role is to support strategic decisions on the direction of Healthwatch Wandsworth by supporting staff and volunteers and contributing to:
- good governance and decision making
- strategic planning
- risk assessment and policy development
- monitoring performance.
The Committee sits within the Wandsworth Care Alliance (WCA) governance structure and is locally accountable so that WCA is able to meet its corporate responsibilities and contractual duties and act lawfully at all times.
The Healthwatch Committee has eight voting members, four are WCA Trustees (of whom one is Chair), and four members are elected from among the Healthwatch Wandsworth membership. Elected Committee members are elected every three years. View this page for more information about Committee members.
