New research project: PALS (Patient advice and liaison services) at St George's Hospital
Healthwatch Wandsworth speaks to the local community about their experiences with health and social care services. We then share this information with services to make changes.
We have identified the patient/user experience and understanding of St George’s PALS (Patient advice and liaison services) as a topic of interest.
Locally, as well as nationally, we have heard the people often do not want to raise issues with their care staff, that there is a general misunderstanding of PALS’ functions and what they do.
We have also heard from PALS that due to their restricted capacity it is difficult to dedicate time to reflect on data and draw out insights.
We want this project to help improve the user experience of PALS as well as provide important insights and reflections for PALS staff.
