If you are interested to join us
Take a look at the various roles below and if you are interested contact us telling us a little more about yourself in relation to the role.
Healthwatch Representatives
Represent us to ensure local people are listened to in decisions about local services.
Represent Healthwatch on committees and working groups to influence the way services are run. We also meet with hospital and service managers, commissioners, the local authority and have speaking rights in local government decision making committees.
Outreach & Engagement Assistants
Help people in your community have their say on health and social care
Our volunteers play a vital role speaking to people about their experiences of local services and giving them opportunities to share their views and ideas for how services can improve.
Join us in getting out and about in your community, meeting with local people, even attending festivals. Connect with people and find out what they have to say.
Policy and Research Assistants
Help us analyse and report on what local people tell us.
Help us understand and represent the views people have shared in our surveys and research by helping us process, analyse and report on the data we have collected. Our reports are important to ensure we can hold local decision makers to account.
Enter and View Volunteer
Help visit services to hear from people using them.
We train some of our volunteers to speak to people using publicly funded health and care services, such as hospitals and care homes. As a local Healthwatch we have special legal powers to 'Enter and View' these local services.
You might be observing the service, gathering the views of patients, residents and staff and contributing to planning, undertaking and reporting on these visits.
