Healthwatch Wandsworth's Annual Report 2014-5
Healthwatch Wandsworth is now two years old, but what have we been up to in that time. We have been building on what we had done in our first year, but this last year we've been able to invest some time in defining our identity and establishing our role, which has helped increase our influencing powers.
We're happy to announce that some of the work and achievements from our second year in operation are contained in our Annual Report.
Key highlights to read more about:
In our annual report we talk about the following work and more:
- Community events and meetings we have attended to speak to local people about health and social care.
- Healthwatch Youth held a stall at Youth Question Time hosted by Wandsworth Council to ask young people 'What Matters To You' and to share their experiences of accessing health and care services.
- We spoke to 99 residents at Sheltered Housing schemes and presented what they told us to Wandsworth Adult Social Services.
- We also spoke to many seldom heard groups and spoke to homeless people about discharge from hospital and New mothers and fathers and their experience of St George’s Maternity Department.
- The Enter & View Team visited three care homes for older people (those not providing nursing) and seven homes for adults with learning disabilities.
We have also reported to Wandsworth Council about our performance and given details of how we have met targets that they set us.
You'll find a lot more information about what we did and the results of our work in the full report. You can also read about our plans about what we will do next.
Thank you to all of our volunteers who have contributed to our achievements and to all of the local people who have shared their views with us.
