News from the Healthwatch Assembly - 27 February 2018
We focused on young people's mental health at our Assembly in May. We heard about local services and discussed new plans to improve support. Read more about it if you were not able to attend.
Our February Assembly covered a number of topics, but was particularly focussed on young people's mental health - from how young people are already being involved in the design of services to the Government's future plans to increase support available.
Key topics covered
- Tiffany Brown from The Participation People told us about what they are doing to increase mental health awareness and resilience among young people
- Robert Dyer and Carol Payne from Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group told us about changes to Child & Adolescent Mental Health services.
- We discussed the Government's plans (Green Paper) to extend mental support for young people, including at school. You can find out what people said about the topic in our report.
- We also had a presentation from Wandsworth CCG about missed GP appointments which was late addition to the agenda.
