Action to tackle childhood obesity workshop

Following the success of the first Healthy Weight, Healthy Place workshop, the second workshop will be taking place on the 1^st of March from 11am – 2pm. The focus will be on creating an action plan and finding ways to make sure change actually happens, and how this could be measured.
 
Once again, the aim is to bring together community members, NHS, and voluntary sector members to be at the heart of a whole systems approach to tackling child and family obesity. A whole systems approach means applying systems thinking and methods to understanding this public health challenge. Involving community members, voluntary sector members as well as people from the NHS and other organizations in mapping out problems and coming up with solutions is key to this way of doing things.
 
A delicious lunch will be provided at the event, and we hope that we can make an action plan that will make healthy choices more accessible in the local area. We had a great time at the last event and hope to see you there whether you’ve been before or just want to get involved with this workshop.
