Easy Read survey for people with learning difficulties
Over the last few months, we have worked closely with SHARE Community students and to produce an easy read version of our Health & Social Care Survey, which we then asked students to complete, to understand its ease of use. This will mean that people with a learning disability will be able to tell us more about their experiences of health and social care.
We then held a series of workshops with Baked Bean Company actors to gain their feedback on the usability of the survey and feedback on the images.
Through the shared work and feedback from students at SHARE Community and actors at Baked Beans we have now produced an easy read version of our Health & Social Care survey using Makaton images.
Most of the students preferred we use Makaton images in the survey, which is the universal language/imagery for most people with a learning disability.
